Activity/Demo at National Chemistry Week at Windward Mall

Aloha Chemistry Teachers,
HaSTA has been invited by the local American Chemical Society to host a table (hands-on activity or demo) at the National Chemistry Week Event at Windward Mall on Sat. Oct. 10th from 10 am to 3 pm.   You would have the option to have the morning or afternoon shift.  If you have the time and some appropriate demos/activities that you would like to present at the Mall, please let me know.   It’s an opportunity to share the importance of chem with the public and have a lot of fun at the same time.
Mahalo,
Barbara and Consuelo
Co-Chairs, HaSTA Chem Section

Donate to HaSTA via Foodland’s Program

Colleagues,
Foodland continues to collect donations for non-profit organizations. They
also add money to every donation. It’s not a dollar-for-dollar match, but
it’s free money! If you would like to make a donation to HaSTA (Foodland
provides the receipt for your taxes), just do so when you check out at the
register. Give our name or number (Hawaii Science Teachers Association -
78377) and that’s it (well, you’ve got to give the cash too)! This is a
SEPTEMBER only thing. Thanks in advance. I would also like to thank those of
you who add $10 or more when you submit your membership dues. There are a
surprising number of you.
Mahalo,
Randyll
